Kazakhstan Maritime Academy Cadets Complete Atlantic Ocean Sailing Voyage

In an exciting development for maritime education, Kazakhstan Maritime Academy (KMA) cadets have successfully completed a sailing voyage across the Atlantic Ocean. The journey, which took place on the Dutch Eendracht, was a significant milestone in the cadets' preparation for their future careers at sea.

The unique educational project was made possible through a partnership between KMA and STC Group. This collaboration enabled the cadets to combine theory with practice, gaining valuable hands-on experience in ocean navigation.

The voyage commenced from Cape Verde Island, off the west coast of Africa, and concluded on Curacao Island in the Caribbean Sea, covering approximately 5,910 kilometres. The journey was an essential stage in the cadets' training, providing them with real-world ocean navigation conditions.

The Kazakh Ministry of Science and Higher Education reported the news on January 20, and the journey was photographed and credited to the same ministry. This sailing voyage was not a motorized one, reflecting KMA's commitment to sustainable maritime practices.

While there is no direct information about a specific educational project involving KMA cadets' Atlantic Ocean sailing voyage, it marks a significant step forward in maritime education. This voyage underscores KMA's dedication to providing its students with practical, hands-on learning opportunities that will serve them well in their future careers.
