Bamberg's Elementary Students Learn Traffic Safety in Annual Event
Bamberg's elementary school students from the second to the fourth grade are invited to participate in the annual traffic safety week. This event, held at the start of the school year, offers children a chance to learn and practice safe traffic behaviour in various scenarios.
The traffic safety week is a collaborative effort involving several organisations, including Stadtwerke Bamberg, Bus company Basel, Brose Arena, and the Police Inspectorate Bamberg-Stadt. Children will have the opportunity to learn about safe boarding and exiting procedures for school buses from Jana Rodriguez, a traffic educator. Klaus Fuß, a former traffic educator, will teach children how to handle bicycles in a parcours, including a 'snail race' station where they can practice maintaining balance.
ADAC Nordbayern will educate children about the 'blind spot' around large vehicles like trucks. For first graders, a play called 'Tiger and Bear in Traffic' is performed at interested schools by Chapeau Claque. The event takes place in the large parking lot behind the Brose Arena.
The traffic safety week in Bamberg aims to equip elementary school children with essential traffic safety skills. Through interactive learning and practice, children will gain valuable knowledge to ensure their safety in various traffic situations.
