BiZ Solingen Hosts Info Session on Federal Voluntary Service on Oct 7
The Career Information Center (BiZ) Solingen invites the public to an informative session about the Federal Voluntary Service (Bundesfreiwilligendienst) on Tuesday, October 7th, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The event, held at BiZ Solingen, Kamper Straße 35, requires no registration. It aims to present opportunities and conditions of the local volunteering service, which is open to people of all ages who have fulfilled their full-time school obligation.
The session will be led by a representative from the city of Solingen. They will explain that recognized organizations such as welfare associations, religious communities, public institutions, or clubs serve as carriers of the local volunteering service. Volunteers are needed in various fields, including schools, children and youth facilities, senior centers, and administrations.
The local volunteering service offers benefits for both older participants and young people. Older participants can stay active, share their experiences, and find their way back into the workforce after a family phase. Meanwhile, young people can gain professional experience, explore social activities, or bridge gaps between education and work. After the presentation, there will be time for personal questions to address any specific queries or concerns.
The BiZ Solingen workshop on the local volunteering service is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in local volunteering to learn more about the program and its benefits. The session is open to all, with no registration required, and will be held at BiZ Solingen, Kamper Straße 35, on Tuesday, October 7th, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
