Learning how to build ladders and tree platforms for Forest School certifications:
Certified training in building and installing safe ladders and tree platforms for arboriculture work.
By completing this training, you'll gain expertise in:
- Recognizing safe trees and choosing appropriate wood
- Building a frame, securing it with ropes to trees
- Crafting two types of ladders: an 'A' frame wooden ladder and a hanging ladder by mastering marlin spike hitch
This hands-on learning experience takes place from 10am-3pm in our woodland setting.
Get ready for an empowering adventure, as this certification is recognized by AIM!
What should you bring for the training?
Please prepare the following items:
- A valid ID (like a driving license or passport)
- Packed lunch, refillable travel mug, and snacks
- Appropriate outdoor clothing taking the weather into account (long pants, not shorts)
- Durable footwear, avoid wearing sandals or flip-flops
- A camera or camera phone to capture your forest journey
We'll provide:
- Refreshments like tea, coffee
- All required tools and equipment for the outdoor activities(Note: To maintain safety, we prefer you not to bring your own tools)
