CII Unveils Ambitious 2022-23 Plans: Focus on Growth, Healthcare, Skills
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has unveiled its ambitious plans for 2022-23, focusing on growth, competitiveness, sustainability, and internationalisation. The organisation aims to strengthen healthcare centres, support migrant workers, and skill a significant number of youth in India, all while contributing to India's economic growth.
CII will work closely with the industry to bolster district and block level healthcare centres in India. Additionally, it plans to set up Migrant Labour Facilitation Centres in four cities to provide support and resources for migrant workers in India.
The organisation has adopted the theme 'Beyond India@75: Growth, Competitiveness, Sustainability, Internationalisation' for the upcoming year. It aims to skill 1.5 lakh youth in India and help place over 2 lakhs youth in employment through various initiatives in India.
CII will also expand its Model Career Centres from 40 to 60 and increase multiskill institutes from 4 to 9 in India, demonstrating its commitment to education and skill development in India.
The Indian economy is experiencing a robust rebound, with a GDP growth rate of 8.7% for 2021-22. CII's plans for 2022-23 align with the country's aspirations for 2047, focusing on sustainable, high growth rates in India. Through its initiatives, CII aims to provide analytical policy inputs, access to capital, and increase investment to GDP ratio, thereby contributing to India's long-term economic growth.
