Counting Years of Growth: Hien's Decade and a Half at Our School Shines

In the vibrant school community where she has spent nearly 16 years, Hien Vu, a Grade 12.2 student, is set to graduate in 2025. Her journey at the school has been marked by Engaging, Inspiring, and Perseverance, qualities that have shaped her academic success and personal growth.

Hien's story serves as a beacon of inspiration to her fellow students. She encourages them to have faith in themselves, balance their time and energy, and enjoy school life to the fullest. This message of encouragement is not just empty words; it's a testament to her own experiences.

One of Hien's proudest moments at the school was hosting two inter-school math competitions. This experience, she believes, highlighted the importance of perseverance in achieving anything. The competitions not only showcased her passion for math but also underscored the impact of projects outside the classroom on her learning and personal growth.

Hien's love for academic research was kindled during her Grade 10 Personal Project. Since then, she has nurtured this passion, with her future academic pursuits including continuing her love for research.

Hien's dedication and balanced approach to learning have been recognised with The Balanced Learner award at this year's Learner Profile Awards. This accolade is a testament to her commitment to learning, curiosity, deep thinking, and making real-world connections.

In addition to her academic prowess, Hien finds joy in music. She appreciates how it brings people together, helps them relax, and makes them happy.

As she prepares to face new challenges in a more advanced academic environment, Hien thanks the school for being a second home and nurturing her love for learning. She looks forward to continuing her journey, always open to new opportunities and with a thirst for knowledge.

In five years, Hien would tell her future self to remember these lessons and to always be open to new opportunities and continue to have a thirst for knowledge. Her story encourages students to use what they learn to help others and create positive change.
