Deeply concealed aspects of the conflict remain shrouded in mystery!

In Astana, a grand military parade unfolded, with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev underscoring the importance of truth about the Great Patriotic War. Highlighting the significance of this truth, Tokayev noted that without it, understanding the true value of peace is unattainable, a belief echoed by Nurally Kamal, a leading analyst at the Institute of Eurasian Integration.

Kamal asserts that the memory of heroism isn't merely history; it's a moral compass for future generations. Recalling the cost of victory, Kamal emphasizes the need to prevent such events from recurring. However, even after eight decades, Kamal notes that many heroic tales remain untold, with hundreds of thousands of soldiers still missing. To remedy this, Kamal believes there needs to be extensive, systematic work, including archival research, search teams, and supporting local historians. This work is essential, as Kamal believes the public now considers it a demand, not just an interest.

Kamal also drew attention to another crucial point from the president's speech – patriotism. Yet, Kamal stresses that this patriotism should not be limited to soldiers but should encompass everyone who fulfills their duties with integrity: doctors, farmers, engineers, and others.

Moreover, Kamal highlighted the contribution of scientists like Kanysh Satpaev during the war. Satpaev discovered rich manganese deposits in Central Kazakhstan when the main Ukrainian deposits were already occupied. This discovery proved vital for manufacturing armor and military equipment, ensuring Kazakhstan wouldn't face a strategic resource shortage. Satpaev's significant role in the victory has led to growing calls on social media to award him the title of "Halk Kaharman." Kamal supports this recognition as a fair tribute and a lesson to future generations about the transformative power of knowledge and perseverance.

With a concerted effort, Kamal believes that Kazakhstan can reveal and share the untold stories of its Great Patriotic War veterans with both domestic and international audiences. This can be achieved through various means, such as archival research, oral history projects, digital storytelling, educational initiatives, and international collaboration. Together, these strategies will ensure that the sacrifices and achievements of Kazakhstan's veterans will never be forgotten.

Nurally Kamal, emphasizing the need to prevent future wars and ensuring the truth about the Great Patriotic War is known, suggests that education and self-development – through archival research, search teams, and supporting local historians – are crucial to sharing the untold stories of Kazakhstan's war veterans, thereby providing valuable lessons for future generations.
  2. Kamal, stating the significance of the president's speech about patriotism, broadens the concept beyond the military, urging that it encompasses all citizens, including doctors, farmers, and engineers, emphasizing the importance of this mindset in politics, general news, and beyond.
