Dorothea Haller-Laible Honored for Strengthening Kazakh-German Relations
Dorothea Haller-Laible, a prominent figure in Kazakh-German relations, was honored recently at a ceremony in Stuttgart. The event, attended by high-ranking officials and friends, saw her awarded the prestigious Order of Dostyk for her exceptional contributions to strengthening ties between the two nations.
The ceremony, held at the State Gallery, was marked by laudations from Ambassador Kairat Sarybay and Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Schuster, who praised Haller-Laible's dedication and impact on Kazakh-German relations. A cultural highlight was a concert by the Kazakh ensemble 'Orda', featuring traditional Kui and folk songs on instruments like the Dombra, Zhetygen, and Kobyz, introduced by Ambassador Sarybaj.
Haller-Laible's involvement in Kazakh-German relations spans two decades, including participation in Kazakhstan Economic Forums and delegation trips. Her leadership roles in business and political organizations, such as the Federal Association of Taxpayers and the Volksbank Stuttgart, reflect her influence. She is also a successful logistics entrepreneur, having founded Haller KG in 1969 and grown it into an internationally active company with 120 employees.
The Order of Dostyk, first degree, was presented to Haller-Laible in recognition of her outstanding service. The ceremony, attended by state government representatives and the diplomatic corps, underscored her significant role in fostering Kazakh-German relations. Her dedication and achievements serve as an inspiration for continued cooperation between the two nations.
