Estimated political engagement in Neusser Nordstadt: Joannis Douvartzidis plans to enhance the beauty of "his" Nordstadt

In the heart of the North End, two prominent figures are working towards a brighter future. While specific details about Rolf Douvartzidis' plans for economic revitalization, safety improvements, and community engagement are yet to be publicly disclosed, his fellow Christian Democrat, Rolf Retzlaff, has stepped forward to share his vision.

Retzlaff, a member of the CDU and an active member of the Sappeur-Corps Neuss-Furth, will be present at an information booth on June 8, from 10 to 13 o'clock, at the Wolberobrunnen corner Further Street/Wolberostrasse. The event aims to foster networking, partnerships, and encounters, providing a platform for citizens to discuss issues related to the North End.

Retzlaff's proposals for economic revitalization include supporting local businesses, urban renewal projects, and job training programs. He plans to encourage the growth of small businesses and local entrepreneurs by offering grants, loans, or mentorship programs. He also advocates for the development of new public spaces, parks, and infrastructure to attract more residents and visitors. To help residents access better job opportunities, he proposes offering skills training programs.

In terms of safety improvements, Retzlaff emphasizes the importance of community policing, crime prevention programs, and infrastructure upgrades. He suggests implementing community policing initiatives to build trust and cooperation between law enforcement and residents, introducing programs focused on preventing crime, and improving street lighting and urban design to reduce crime-prone areas.

For community engagement, Retzlaff proposes hosting regular public forums to gather feedback and involve the community in decision-making processes, organizing cultural events, festivals, and community activities to foster a sense of community, and creating opportunities for residents to volunteer and participate in local projects.

Douvartzidis, a member of the North End district council and the city council for structural change, economy, and employment, shares similar goals. He plans to revive the working group on the economy in the North End initiative and offer a lecture series in the Reformation Church, with initial topics being burnout, depression, and loneliness. One of his key plans is to find more local companies that take people on apprenticeships.

Citizens are invited to express their own concerns and wishes at the information booth, where Douvartzidis' plans for the North End will be discussed. Born and raised in the North End, Douvartzidis lives there with his wife and five-year-old daughter. His participation at the information booth is intended to foster a closer connection with the community he serves.

Retzlaff, a former trainer at SVG Weissenberg, has been active in the steel industry for around 30 years and is currently responsible for global purchasing and sales at a medium-sized company. His role or connection to the North End initiative is not specified, but his presence at the information booth demonstrates a shared commitment to the community's future.

  1. Rolf Retzlaff's vision encompasses economic revitalization through supporting local businesses, advocating for urban renewal projects, and job training programs, which is a part of his comprehensive policy-and-legislation for the North End.
  2. In addition to economic development, Retzlaff's proposals also include addressing social issues, such as safety improvements, education-and-self-development, and community engagement, all of which are significant aspects of his political agenda and general-news for the North End.
