Federal Warning: Hello Fresh Meals Recalled Due to Listeria Risk
Federal health officials have issued a warning against consuming certain Hello Fresh dinner ideas due to potential listeria contamination. The alert follows an ongoing listeria outbreak linked to Nate's Fine Foods pasta, which has sadly resulted in at least four deaths and 20 illnesses since June.
The source of the contamination has been traced back to quick-frozen spinach supplied by Sno Pac Foods. While no illnesses have been reported from the latest contamination, listeria infections can cause serious illness, particularly in vulnerable populations such as pregnant women, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems.
Several additional companies have recalled recipes due to potential listeria contamination from Nate's Fine Foods. The affected Hello Fresh meals were produced by FreshRealm and shipped directly to consumers. The recalled meals include Hello Fresh Ready Made Meals Cheesy Pulled Pork Pepper Pasta and Unstuffed Peppers with Ground Turkey.
Health officials urge consumers to discard any recalled food and to follow safe food handling practices to prevent listeria infection. Anyone experiencing symptoms of listeria infection should seek medical attention immediately. Further updates on the recall and investigation will be provided as more information becomes available.
