Fresh Parking Solutions Unveiled for Autumn 2025 on Campus

Oberlin College is set to offer a significant expansion of parking facilities this fall, with the addition of three new lots providing over 300 spaces for students, employees, and visitors. The new lots, located on Woodland Street, North Professor Street, and Lorain Street, are the result of several major construction projects.

The Woodland Street lot is a 226-space facility situated near the new Woodland Hall student residence. It offers 45 new parking spaces for faculty and staff at its south end, across from the Science Center. Moreover, this lot will feature two new Level II EV charging stations, available for use by students, faculty, and staff.

The North Professor Street lot offers about 70 spaces primarily for student parking, located adjacent to the softball field.

The Lorain Street lot, positioned north of Mudd Center between Wilder Hall and the Service Building, offers approximately 20 new faculty/staff spaces. It also includes designated short-term parking, loading and unloading zones for Wilder Hall, and spaces for residents of neighboring student houses.

To ensure the safety of pedestrians, a new crosswalk will be added to Lorain Street north of Wilder Hall. This crosswalk will facilitate safe pedestrian travel, complementing the new parking facilities.

The Lorain Street lot is expected to be complete by the end of August, marking another milestone in Oberlin's ongoing commitment to sustainability and accessibility. The Sustainable Infrastructure Program, which made campus carbon neutrality possible, has played a crucial role in these developments.
