Gathering of Over 300 Leadership, Team Development, and Business Strategy Specialists in Bucharest for the Second Installment of Learning Tapestry Conference

Rewritten Article:

Get ready for a groundbreaking event! The Learning Tapestry Conference 2023 is setting up shop at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Bucharest, on May 14th. This shindig gathers leaders in psychology, business strategy, education, and leadership from across the globe. They'll dive deep into the future of education, tackling how to prepare young minds for a fast-changing world where AI reshapes jobs quicker than schools can react.

Richard Joannides, the brain behind Verita International School, breaks it down, "We're living in a time of swift transformation. And this ain't just about shifting political landscapes; it's a sign of deeper, global shifts. We need more than mere knowledge for our kids to thrive—they need adaptability, emotional intelligence, and critical thinking." Join us at The Learning Tapestry Conference to chart a course beyond old, outdated education models that no longer serve modern realities.

organized by Verita Foundation and Verita International School, this gathering promises to be explosive, with over 300 influencers such as business leaders, policymakers, educators, and parents expected to attend. Grab your ticket on the event website, and remember, all the revenue will be channeled to supporting educators in Romania.

The Learning Tapestry Conference is on a mission. It aims to leapfrog education systems rooted in memorization and static knowledge, focusing instead on fostering cognitive agility, emotional resilience, and the capacity for lifelong learning. Richard Joannides puts it best, "We're raising kids for a world we can't predict. Our role isn't to give them the answers; it's to teach them to ask better questions and keep learning long after they leave school."

Look forward to enlightening discussions on topics like:

  • Human intelligence versus AI
  • Boosting cognitive agility and preparing for uncertainty
  • Emphasizing active thinking over memorization
  • Making quick decisions in ambiguous situations
  • Navigating the pitfalls of over-reliance on AI
  • Developing emotional intelligence and communicative skills
  • Learning from mistakes as a key part of education

This event is tailored for educators, school leaders, business professionals, parents, and anyone interested in equipping themselves with the essential skills of the 21st century: resilience, ethics, and lifelong learning techniques.

Fast forward to May 15th, and we're treating educators to a day packed with metacognition, memory activation techniques, critical thinking, and accelerated human intelligence workshops led by Leo Thompson, all organized by Verita School.

Leo Thompson tells us, "AI can crunch data, but only humans can create meaning, navigate complexity, and care. In our rapidly evolving world, it's not the most informed who succeed, but the most adaptable." Get your little learners ready for the future with three crucial skills: excellent learning-to-learn abilities, social-emotional skills, and communication skills nurtured in an environment of warmth, kindness, and health.

In 2024, the inaugural Learning Tapestry Conference became a sold-out affair, attracting over 700 attendees. The Learning Tapestry Series, an annual event, is the biggest conference on education, social-emotional intelligence, leadership, and resilience, dedicated to reimagining what skills are necessary for a 21st-century learner.

The Verita Foundation has built a partnership with Emory University's Center for Contemplative Science and Compassionate Ethics. Their Compassion Shift Initiative programs provide tools for enhancing awareness, managing emotions, building resilience, fostering compassion, and promoting well-being.
