Gigastons achieve success
In the recent Planspiel Börse competition held in Lübeck, several teams and schools showcased their financial acumen and sustainable practices. The event, which concluded on January 28, took place at the business area of the Sparkasse in Lübeck, located at Breite Straße 18-28, 23552 Lübeck.
A total of 159 students in 60 teams participated in the competition. Among the participants, the team "Torpedo GmbH" from the Oberschule zum Dom secured the third place. The school with the most participating teams was the Johanneum in Lübeck, who also won the school prize.
The competition saw double success for "Baklavalovers69" from the Johanneum in Lübeck. They clinched the second place, earning a cash prize of 250 euros, and also won the sustainability prize, earning an additional 150 euros.
The winning team, "Gigastonks" from the Emil-Possehl-Schule, impressed everyone with their performance. They increased their portfolio value by 5.4 percent and had a fictional value of 52,701.16 euros at the end of the game, earning them a cash prize of 350 euros.
