Government of Bihar State is set to initiate the TRE-4 Recruitment Drive in 2025 for teachers.
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is set to launch the Fourth Phase of the Teachers' Recruitment Examination (TRE-4), aiming to fill over 1.1 lakh to 1.2 lakh teacher vacancies across primary, middle, secondary, and senior secondary schools. The recruitment drive, announced by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on social media platform X, is expected to bring significant changes to the education sector in the state.
The recruitment process will cover positions for Primary Teacher (Class 1-), Middle School Teacher (Class 6-8), Secondary Teacher (Class 9-10), and Higher Secondary Teacher (Class 11-12) in various government schools across Bihar. The Bihar government has already successfully launched the recruitment drives for positions 1, 2, and 3, with a total of 267,674 vacancies announced and 164,206 posts filled so far.
The exact number of vacancies in each category has not been released yet, but the official notification, expected by the end of September 2025, will provide detailed information on category-wise vacancies. Candidates are advised to refer to the official notification for precise details once it is released.
The Bihar government has also clarified that the 35% reservation for women in appointments will be applicable to those who are residents of Bihar. This move is expected to encourage more women to apply for teaching positions in the state.
The recruitment drive is expected to be launched before the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct for the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar, ensuring a smooth and timely process. The Education Department has been instructed to promptly prepare for the TRE-4 examination and identify vacancies of teachers in government schools to initiate the recruitment process at the earliest.
This massive recruitment drive is a significant step towards improving the quality of education in Bihar and providing opportunities for aspiring teachers. The successful completion of TRE-4 will ensure that over 1.2 lakh teaching posts in Bihar's government schools are filled, contributing to a better future for the state's students.
The Bihar Public Service Commission's Fourth Phase of the Teachers' Recruitment Examination (TRE-4) encompasses education-and-self-development, as it aims to fill over 1.2 lakh teacher vacancies and improve the quality of education in the state. The drive, being launched before the assembly elections in Bihar, also intersects with politics, given its potential impact on the state's general news landscape.
