The Germany Scholarship Program (Deutschlandstipendium) held its annual ceremony at the Aquarium Hall, where Professor Dr. Ulrich Jautz, Rector of Pforzheim University, honoured this year's scholarship holders. The event was attended by 17 companies, associations, foundations, and the federal government, who collectively funded the scholarships for the 2023/24 funding period, contributing a total of over one million euros.

Two organizations, Vector Informatik GmbH and Richard Wolf GmbH, received honorary certificates for their 10th anniversary of funding the Germany Scholarship. The Rector, Professor Jautz, emphasized the importance of the personal contact with the scholarship providers and thanked the sponsors for their continued support.

During the ceremony, Professor Jautz also emphasized the significance of the funding, stating that it provides relief for students facing rising living costs. The Germany Scholarship has been helping Pforzheim students with monthly financial support since 2011, and in the last twelve years, approximately 450 scholarships have been awarded at Pforzheim University.

Since the program's launch in 2011, Pforzheim University has supported around 335 students through the initiative, with 72 companies participating as private sponsors. The Germany Scholarship encourages partnerships between universities and companies, foundations, and individuals, aiming to foster talented students regardless of their personal or social background and to strengthen the connection between academia and the private sector.

After the ceremony, the participants visited the student initiative Rennschmiede, dedicated to automobile racing and building E-Formula 1 vehicles. The Germany Scholarship is a nationwide scholarship aimed at motivating young people and providing them with financial and non-material aid to pursue their academic goals.

The Alfred Baier Foundation and FMBT Steuerberatung GmbH are the two new additions among the donors for the Germany Scholarship this year. The program continues to grow, with over 36 companies and institutions from Pforzheim and the region participating since its inception. The Rector encouraged the scholarship holders to use the additional tailwind for their studies and maintain their commitment.

Education and self-development play crucial roles in the Germany Scholarship Program, as the initiative aims to foster talented students regardless of their personal or social background. Furthermore, the additional financial support from the scholarship contributes significantly to helping students manage their rising living costs, thereby facilitating their academic pursuits.
