Humanitarian initiative expands to encompass earlier achievements and academic institutions, aiming to aid combatants

In the heart of Primorye, a charitable event took place last week, with dozens of attendees from various backgrounds, including representatives of the authorities and ordinary citizens, coming together to support participants in the special military operation based in Vladivostok.

The event saw the collection of a diverse range of items, including vehicles, wireless charging devices, and letters penned by Vladivostok's labor veterans and war children. Various tools, camping equipment, and long-term food supplies were also donated.

One of the event organisers, Artem Volodin, a deputy in the Vladivostok City Duma, reported that many addressed packages were handed over. The Vladivostok City Duma deputies, led by Chairman Andrei Brik and members of the local political council, made a significant contribution to the event. They bought motorcycles, laptops, tablets, and special devices for drone reflashing.

The newly formed organisation provided extensive support for the issues of technical equipment and everything necessary, describing the overall involvement and supply as very serious and global. Other universities contributed sterile bandages, personal hygiene items, and medicines for the front, with the Nevelskoy Maritime University providing a significant portion of the medicines.

The "United Russia" party and its activists showed high involvement in the event, with the region's primary branches playing a key role. The "Young Guard" also made a significant contribution, and the "Historical Memory" project and the program to support SOMO veterans paid special attention to practical measures aimed at restoring health, integrating into public life, and creating conditions for active, full-fledged activity.

However, it's important to note that as of early July 2025, no direct reports or verified information on new humanitarian aid specifically for participants in the special military operation in Vladivostok have emerged. Recent developments and reported activities concerning humanitarian and military-related efforts around Vladivostok and Russian operations have shown a pattern of combining military and humanitarian rhetoric to justify foreign deployments.

For instance, Russia is organizing the deployment of up to 50 Lao sapper troops in Kursk region under the pretext of humanitarian assistance, focusing on mine clearance and rehabilitation for wounded servicemen. Additional support from North Korea includes thousands of military deminers and construction workers aimed at post-war reconstruction and demining operations in border regions.

In a separate incident, on July 5, 2025, a significant explosion damaged a major gas pipeline supplying several Russian military facilities in the Vladivostok area, including the 155th Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet. A water pipeline providing drinking water to military garrisons was also destroyed. Russian authorities responded with emergency services and restricted local communications to control public information during Vladivostok’s 165th anniversary celebrations.

Despite these events, the focus appears to be on military logistics, infrastructure security, and foreign troop involvement under humanitarian pretexts elsewhere, rather than direct aid distribution in Vladivostok. Comprehensive support for participants in the special military operation, their social adaptation, and full rehabilitation remains a key direction of the "United Russia" people's program.

In the continuation of charitable efforts, the "United Russia" party pledged to focus on finance and business, aiming to procure essential items such as motorcycles, laptops, tablets, and drone reflashing devices for the participants in the special military operation in Vladivostok. To further this cause, they plan to collaborate with the education and self-development sector, soliciting contributions of sterile bandages, personal hygiene items, medicines, and educational materials, ensuring the long-term well-being and reintegration of these individuals into society.
