IBC2025 Unveils Innovation Awards Finalists in Media, Entertainment, and Tech

IBC2025 has revealed the finalists for its Innovation Awards, honouring collaborative projects in media, entertainment, and technology. The awards span five categories, with winners to be announced on Sunday 14 September at 18.00 CEST in Amsterdam.

In the Content Distribution category, several notable projects have been recognised. OBS's hybrid streaming delivery for Paris 2024, Sky's MediaMesh, and Crunchyroll's Anime Awards localisation and distribution are among the finalists. Meanwhile, in Content Creation, projects like MBC, Pixtree, and SK Telecom's AI-assisted remastering, NHK Japan's 'Deep Ocean: Kingdom of the Coelacanth', and NBC Olympics' IP-based multiviewer editorial workflow for gymnastics coverage at Paris 2024 have been shortlisted.

The specific finalists for the Social Impact category remain undisclosed, but the category recognises projects addressing real-world challenges, alongside others like Innovation and Environment & Sustainability.
