IGNOU Fresh Admission 2025: Apply Now for July Session
Registration for various courses at the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) for the July 2025 session is currently underway. Students can apply for diploma, certificate, undergraduate, and postgraduate courses through the online distance learning (ODL) and online programmes.
Here's a step-by-step guide to apply for IGNOU Fresh Admission 2025:
- Visit the official IGNOU website (ignou.ac.in).
- Click on the ‘Register Online’ tab.
- Select ‘Fresh Admissions’ and then choose ‘New Registration’.
- Fill in the registration details to create a username and password.
- Log in using the created credentials.
- Complete the application form by filling in personal and academic details.
- Select the desired programme from the available ODL and online courses.
- Upload the required documents (scanned photograph, signature, educational certificates, category certificates if applicable, etc.) within size limits specified. The size limit for scanned photographs and signatures is 100 KB, while the size limit for educational qualification certificates, experience certificates, and category certificates (SC/ST/OBC) is 200 KB.
- Pay the admission fee online through available digital payment methods.
- Submit the application form and wait for confirmation.
After submission, the documents will be verified by the regional center, and admission confirmation will be sent, usually within about two months. It is important to note that the last date for online applications for the July 2025 session has been extended to August 15, 2025.
More than 300 courses, including diploma, certificate, undergraduate, and postgraduate options, are available for admission. It is mandatory to create a DEB ID as part of the registration process. The process is fully online, but offline admission through regional centers is also possible if preferred.
For undergraduate programmes, there are 48 courses available, and for postgraduate programmes, more than 75 courses such as MA, MSc, and MBA are available in the July 2025 session. Several other diploma and certificate programmes are also available.
