"Introducing Jean and Gabriel, Top Pals from NC State University's Class of '21: Their Virgo Traits in Action"
New Article:
Let's dive into the remarkable tale of how two Algebra II classmates, Gabriel Montague and Jean Ferman, turned their friendship into an unbreakable bond during their time at NC State. As it turns out, both buddies share the same star sign and, interestingly, their astrological birth charts are strikingly similar (with the exception of their moons and rising signs).
Gabriel, a tenacious statistics major, expresses a deep admiration for their intellectual connection: "We're both Virgos, and our birth charts are surprisingly alike... We seem to be on the same wavelength, reading the same book by the same author."
Jean, a double major in polymer and color chemistry and biological sciences, more succinctly states, "That's the essence of 'If you know, you know.'"
From humble beginnings as Algebra II classmates, their bond blossomed during their stint as Summer Start Mentors and College of Sciences Ambassadors, forging them into campus leaders and each other's most ardent cheerleaders. They've now become the epitome of perseverance and camaraderie.
"One of the things that I'm proud of you for is graduating with not one, but two degrees — as a first-generation student," Gabriel said, acknowledging Jean's incredible achievement. "Not only did you achieve this success, but you also founded an organization here to make the journey easier for those who follow."
Jean, in turn, views Gabriel as a source of inspiration. "I truly look up to you," Jean confessed. "I might not show it frequently, but you're a significant inspiration."
For Gabriel, Jean serves as the friend who motivates him to strive for better achievements and offers unwavering support during his performances as director of the Uninhibited Praise Gospel Choir. "That means a lot, especially in relation to the things that I'm passionate about," Gabriel shared.
As time approached for determining their post-NC State plans, Gabriel wrestled with the idea of pursuing a graduate degree, but his confidence wavered at times. However, Jean never stopped believing in his abilities.
"You always had faith in me," Gabriel reflected.
In the fall, Gabriel will embark on his master's in education policy and analysis at Harvard University, while Jean will be working at an orthodontist office, readying himself for dental school applications. Despite the miles that will separate them, they remain unfazed about maintaining their close relationship.
"I believe our bond might actually grow stronger because if I don't see you, I'm going to call you more, text you more," Gabriel surmised.
Jean concludes with words of encouragement for Gabriel: "You have what it takes to excel in whatever you set your mind to, and that's what Virgos do. Keep reaching higher and keep lighting the way for others on their climb."
