Krasnodar Region Boosts Education with New Schools and Teacher Support
The Krasnodar region has seen significant improvements in its educational infrastructure and teacher support. Seven new schools have opened across various districts, and the 'Zemsky Teacher' program has been extended until 2030, attracting 362 educators to rural areas.
The region has allocated over 233 billion rubles for education development by 2025. This has resulted in the renovation of 685 educational institutions and the acceptance of 12 new schools with a capacity of over 12,200 places in 2025.
Teacher compensation has also been enhanced. From January 1, 2026, school teachers will receive a monthly regional allowance of 15,000 rubles. In Krasnodar, kindergarten and school teachers can receive monthly mortgage compensation of 25,000 rubles and rent compensation of 15,000 rubles. In Novorossiysk, teachers can receive one-time payments of up to 500,000 rubles and housing loan compensation. Kindergarten teachers will also receive an additional allowance. In Sochi, teachers enjoy service housing or rent compensation, mortgage assistance, and a 50% discount on public transport.
The 'Zemsky Teacher' program, initiated by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, has proven successful in attracting educators to small towns and villages. Each teacher receives 1 million rubles and is required to work for five years. These initiatives aim to improve the quality of education and retain talented teachers in the Krasnodar region.
