Lünen city accommodates 40 fresh trainees and academic students.
On Monday, 1 September 2025, the city of Lünen welcomed 40 new apprentices and students to its administration. The occasion marked the beginning of apprenticeships and studies for these newcomers, who are now contributing to the preservation of the city's democracy through their work.
The new training programs are not limited to apprenticeships and studies in the city's administration. They also include fire service recruits and PIA educators, as well as administrative management assistants, bachelor students of law and social sciences, and childcare assistants.
The First Deputy Mayor, Axel Tschersich, personally welcomed the new apprentices and students. He expressed the city's administration's excitement about working with the new junior staff and wished them a successful start.
One notable addition to the training programs is the first fire chief recruit in the city of Lünen. However, the identity of the first apprentice for the fire chief position, who started in September 2025, remains confidential.
The city of Lünen looks forward to working with these new recruits, as they embark on their journey to become valuable members of the Lünen community. The new training year has begun, and the city extends its warmest welcome to the 40 new apprentices and students.
