Late-October Completion for Woodland Hall's Exterior Siding Installation
The construction of Woodland Hall, a new 402-bed residence hall at Oberlin College, is progressing, albeit with a slight delay. The installation of the exterior siding, originally scheduled to be completed by now, will now extend until mid-October 2025[1].
The reasons behind this delay remain undisclosed, but common factors in construction setbacks often include supply chain issues, labour availability, weather conditions, or technical challenges with installation.

Crews are currently installing siding on the south- and east-facing facades of Woodland Hall, while the north and west façades, as well as the west-facing courtyard, will continue to see construction activity until mid-October. In the meantime, additional crews and expanded construction hours during the summer helped to minimise the impact on Woodland Hall's timetable for opening. The residence hall is expected to welcome students this month.
