Omsk's first-grade students unable to receive backpacks until September 1st.

Last year, the Omsk region spent approximately 25 million rubles on issuing backpacks to first-graders. However, this year, the government has decided not to issue backpacks to these students.

The decision not to issue backpacks this year may have been influenced by the mixed reactions from some parents last year. Some parents felt that the gifts were unnecessary, as many had already purchased school supplies for their first-graders. Others found similar backpacks on the "AliExpress" platform for as little as 500 rubles.

The backpacks for first-graders were purchased from a firm in Ivanovo at a price of around 5,000 rubles per unit. The press secretary of the governor, Mina Akhverdiyeva, commented that no action to provide backpacks to first-graders is planned this year.

It's worth noting that the Omsk region has been conducting the social action "Family Helps Family" for many years. During this campaign, residents and organizations help gather school supplies for children from low-income and socially disadvantaged families.

For more detailed information about the decision to halt the distribution of backpacks to first-graders this year, it would be best to consult local news sources or official announcements from the Omsk region's education department.

The lack of decision to provide backpacks this year, contrary to last, might be due to the diverse opinions from parents about the necessity of the gifts, with some feeling the school supplies were superfluous and readily available at economical prices on platforms like "AliExpress". Education-and-self-development efforts like the "Family Helps Family" campaign remain ongoing in the Omsk region, focusing on gathering school supplies for underprivileged children.
