** School Enrollment in Davao Region Tops 1.19 Million for 2025-2026 **
The Department of Education-Davao Region (DepEd-Davao) has recorded a whopping 1,199,102 students enrolled for the upcoming School Year 2025-2026 as of June 19, a staggering 89.2% of the previous year's official enrollment. That's over a million kids getting an education!
The male-female student ratio stands at 607,455 males to 591,647 females.
Davao del Sur leads the charge with a massive 95.45% enrollment, followed closely by Tagum City with 93.93% and the Island Garden City of Samal at 93.76%. A notable figure is Davao City, the region's largest division and the hub of 387,309 enrolled learners, or 84.52% of the previous year's students.

The quick count data, spanning Kinder to Senior High School, shows impressive engagement across other divisions: Davao de Oro with 178,248 students (91.50% of the previous year’s enrollment), Davao del Norte with 112,827 (89.80%), Davao Oriental with 106,874 (92.60%), Mati City with 37,729 (87.91%), and Panabo City with 52,485 (92.82%).
Meanwhile, the Alternative Learning System (ALS) enrollment has reached 20,866 students, accounting for 41.6% of last year’s ALS enrollment.
Tagum City reigns supreme in the ALS enrollment percentage with 83.47%, followed by Digos City with 64.09% and Davao Occidental with 57.31%. Davao Oriental boasts the highest total ALS enrollees at 3,000, while Davao City claims 2,940.
The ALS enrollment includes various programs, such as the Basic Literacy Program, Accreditation and Equivalency (A\&E) Elementary, A\&E Secondary, and A\&E Senior High School.
Davao de Oro recorded the highest number of A\&E Senior High enrollees at 1,308, while Davao Oriental led in A\&E Secondary with 1,953 students.
DepEd-Davao continues to urge parents and students to complete enrollment before classes begin to ensure schools across the region have the necessary resources and are prepared for the new school year.
