Park University Advances Scott Fergerson to the Position of Chief Financial Officer, Designates John Huber as Director of Corporate Development and Admissions
Park University has made significant changes to its leadership team, with the appointment of Scott Fergerson as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and John Huber as the Director of Corporate Development and Admissions, effective from February 2nd, 2025, and January 27th, respectively.
Scott Fergerson, a resident of Parkville, joins Park University after spending a significant portion of his career in public accounting. He worked as an auditor at RSM US LLP and BKD LLP, focusing on manufacturing, distribution, and financial service companies. Prior to this, Fergerson was a track and field coach, as well as an assistant football coach at Dodge City (Kan.) Community College. Fergerson earned a Master of Science degree in accounting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in international business from Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo.
In his new role as CFO, Fergerson is responsible for leading the financial operations of the University, maintaining financial stability, driving growth initiatives, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. John Huber, a resident of Olathe, Kan., previously served as the athletic director at Maranatha Christian Academy in Shawnee, Kan. Huber spent 13 years (2008-21) as the executive pastor over family ministries at Westside Family Church in Lenexa, Kan. Huber also earned a Master of Science degree in business and organizational leadership from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pa., and a Master of Education degree in elementary education and a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from La Roche University in Pittsburgh, Pa.
In his new role as Director of Corporate Development and Admissions, Huber will establish and maintain strategic relationships between the University and corporate entities. His responsibilities will primarily focus on business development and driving new student enrollment. Before joining Park University, Fergerson served as the interim CFO since December 2024, and before that, he was the chief business officer of the University since July 2022.
