Park University Welcomes Catherine O'Sullivan as New Director for Development and Alumni Relations
Catherine O'Sullivan has been appointed as the Director of Development and Alumni Engagement at Park University, effective from April 21, 2025.
A resident of Kansas City, Missouri, O'Sullivan brings a wealth of experience to her new role. Prior to her appointment, she served as a healthcare recruiter for PRN Healthcare from May 2022 to July 2023. Her tenure also includes a stint as a Talent Acquisition Advisor for Imperial PFS from November 2021 to March 2022.
In her previous roles, O'Sullivan has demonstrated a knack for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors. She will continue to leverage these skills at Park University, fostering a deep sense of connection and commitment among donors to support the university's mission and strategic goals.
O'Sullivan's responsibilities extend beyond fundraising. She will also create meaningful opportunities for engagement and collaboration among alumni, donors, and friends of the University. Her role will involve building and nurturing relationships with these key stakeholders to inspire them to contribute their time, talent, and resources to advance Park University's programs, scholarships, and initiatives.
Before her foray into healthcare recruitment, O'Sullivan had a successful career in advancement, alumni relations, and fundraising. She served as the Director of Advancement with the University of Missouri - Kansas City's School of Medicine from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, she spent four years (2008-12) as Director of Alumni and Constituent Relations at UMKC.
In her role as the Manager of Individual Giving for the Kansas City Symphony from 2017 to 19, O'Sullivan honed her skills in fundraising and relationship management. Before owning Remix KC, her career trajectory was marked by a consistent focus on advancement, alumni relations, and fundraising.
O'Sullivan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Composition and Literature from Fairfield University, Connecticut. Her appointment at Park University is set to further strengthen the university's advancement efforts and deepen its connections with its alumni and supporters.
Catherine O'Sullivan's background in education-and-self-development, particularly in advancement, alumni relations, and fundraising, will aid her in her new role at Park University, promoting personal-growth and career-development opportunities for alumni.
