Reporter4You: Free Online Workshops Empower Students to Spot Fake News and Report on War

The Reporterfabrik, an online academy initiative by CORRECTIV, has launched a series of workshops and tutorials focused on media knowledge and journalistic craftsmanship. The initiative, titled 'Reporter4You', targets students and teachers, offering free online sessions to educate about war reporting and recognising fake news.

The workshops, led by Miriam Bunjes from Reporterfabrik, cover crucial topics such as how journalists report on war progress and civilian suffering. They also delve into the spread of fake news and how to recognise it. Participants include esteemed journalists like Thore Schröder from Der Spiegel, Marcus Bensmann and Matthias Bau from CORRECTIV, and Katja Artsiomenka, a professor of Journalism. Notably, Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Daniel Pach, an epidemiologist from the Charité Berlin, also contributes his expertise.

The Reporter4You program provides not only workshops but also teaching materials, making it a comprehensive resource for students and educators. The initiative is free of charge, ensuring accessibility to all interested parties.

The Reporterfabrik's Reporter4You program offers a unique opportunity for students and teachers to enhance their media knowledge and journalistic skills. With expert-led workshops on war reporting and fake news recognition, and a wealth of teaching materials, the initiative is set to empower the next generation of journalists.
