Rodenbacher's "House of Kunterbunt" is a set of instructions or resources for starting a social or cultural movement
The municipal kindergarten "Haus Kunterbunt" in Rodenbach has been officially recognized as a "Movement Kindergarten" by the "Movement Kindergarten Association Rhineland-Palatinate" (MKA RLP) and the Ministry of Education. This prestigious title acknowledges the kindergarten's commitment to promoting physical activity and holistic development in children through movement and play.
The pedagogical staff at Haus Kunterbunt have acquired specialized knowledge in the area of development promotion through movement, having undergone further training. This expertise is evident in the kindergarten's daily routine, which includes ample free movement and playtime for the children, with additional activity offers made daily. The kindergarten boasts an indoor gym area and a spacious outdoor area for children to play and move freely.
The MKA Rhineland-Palatinate is a consortium of seven organizations that promote holistic development, health, and education of children through movement and play in Rhineland-Palatinate kindergartens. The association supports the creation of a supportive setting for physical and holistic development in kindergartens by recommending structural and social environment aspects.
The kindergarten director, Martina Trambale, and the municipal youth welfare office team, including Bernhard Fuchs and Sammy Labidi, were delighted with the recognition. Neuwied's mayor, Peter Jung, was also pleased, praising the creativity with which the existing spaces have been transformed into places of movement at the kindergarten.
The "Movement Kindergarten" award was presented to Haus Kunterbunt by the MKA Rhineland-Palatinate. The award ceremony was photographed by I. Theiß. The recognition of Haus Kunterbunt as a "Movement Kindergarten" sets a good example that other Neuwied kindergartens may well follow.
The MKA Rhineland-Palatinate is supported by the Ministry of Education and the IKK Southwest. For more information about the "Movement Kindergarten" award, visit www.bewegungskita-rlp.de.
