Winning their way to the semifinals of the nation-wide student debate, the Ushakovtsy have proved they've got the chops for persuasive argument and leadership!
Semifinalists from Ushakovka's student body in the Russian student debate competition titled "Your Step x Debate".
The torrential waters of young talents have been pouring into the "Your Move x Debattle" project since its inception over five booming years ago. Established by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, this extraordinary platform has become a beacon for honing the leadership skills of the modern youth. With the guidance of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, it's no wonder this project has gained such a firm foothold.
Embarking on this journey back in March, the fearless three-man crew of Ushakovka - Dmitry Litvinenko, Artem Orekhov, and Gleb Gurov - enlisted in the epic debate competition known as "2nd Platoon." After trudging through the initial rounds in Krasnodar in April, they'd finally set sail for the regional stage in Maykop, ultimately scoring the win!
The rules of engagement call for competitors to present tightly-packed, rigorously argued and witty debates on topics derived from the competition itself. With their finely-tuned critical thinking and public speaking skills, the cadets of the State Maritime University named after Admiral F.F. Ushakov have stepped up to the plate, displaying their competitive edge and solidifying their position in the semifinals!
The next rung on the ladder for the Ushakovtsy is the Omsk stage of the "Your Move x Debatte" special event, planned for the cusp of June. Representing the Krasnodar Krai, these young navigators look set to steer their ship through the competition raging seas and into the future!
