Seven novice scholars commence their academic journey at the University of Osnabrück.
University of Osnabrück Kicks Off New Apprenticeships for 2025 and 2026
The University of Osnabrück has announced the launch of its dual study programs for apprenticeships in 2025 and 2026. These programs, which combine academic studies with practical training phases, are available in the fields of Business Administration and Sustainable Management, Industrial Engineering and Sustainable Development, and Business Informatics and Sustainable IT.
The university's personnel department, led by Frauke van der Meer, warmly welcomed the new trainees at a recent event. The seven new apprentices include Lilith Gardlo, Emelie Kording, Evelyn Tschinse, Ole Schmunkamp as administrative specialists, Merit Zumbrägel as a gardener, Louis Korbel as an industrial mechanic, and Tabea Derke as a specialist for media and information services.
The dual study programs last three years, with participants alternating roughly every three months between study phases at the university and practical phases in companies or institutions. Upon graduation, participants receive a state-recognized bachelor's degree and may optionally obtain an additional IHK qualification, such as an industrial clerk or IT clerk. A minimum one-year job offer is also possible, and a dual master's degree can be pursued.
Benefits of the apprenticeships include paid holidays, Christmas bonuses, free lunch, flexible working hours, access to an on-site fitness studio, a dedicated training team, and opportunities to rotate through various departments and locations, including internationally.
The University of Osnabrück, which employs over 1,800 people, is one of the largest employers in the region. Interested parties can find job advertisements and information about the apprenticeships at the University of Osnabrück at www.uni-osnabrueck.de/en/university/jobs/apprenticeships/.
New apprenticeship positions will be advertised in September 2025 and February 2026. Carsten Niekamp, head of the personnel department, expressed his delight at welcoming the new trainees and wished them a good start to their apprenticeship.
