SIWS College Administrator Dismisses Accusations as Unfounded and Fabricated
The Vice-Principal of SIWS College, Sheela Krishnan, has denied the allegations made against her by teachers' unions, stating that the claims are fictitious, baseless, and concocted.
Krishnan has been under scrutiny for over a week, with teachers demanding her removal. However, she denies creating a toxic environment within the institution and asserts that her actions are aimed at protecting the faculty, not rendering them surplus.
The allegations against Krishnan include the surrendering of seats during FYJC admissions and the use of abusive language or body shaming. Krishnan has categorically denied these accusations, stating that there were sufficient Hindi teachers and workload, but not enough workload for the Marathi teacher.
Krishnan has also questioned the delay in reporting the allegations of threat, suggesting a vile agenda against her. She clarifies that she has maintained discipline at the institution and has not taken any action against any staff.
In August 2023, a person named Sanjay Kumbhar was accused by the teachers of SIWS College, Maharashtra Junior College Teachers' Union, and Maharashtra Junior College Teachers' Organisation. Krishnan asserts that the complaint against her was a retaliatory action for asking ten teachers for an explanation for not taking practical lectures.
The issue related to Sanch Manyata inputs is under the education department, and Krishnan has no role in it. Krishnan also states that some faculty technical heads, including signatories to the complaint, were instrumental in divulging passwords.
In response to the allegations, Krishnan has denied threatening anyone and has maintained that she has not taken 13 EVS lectures in the commerce department. She states that the suggestion to protect the Marathi teacher's employment was made to prevent surplus action.
The controversy surrounding Krishnan continues to unfold, with both sides presenting their arguments. The college administration and Krishnan have maintained their stance, denying all allegations against them. The teachers' unions, on the other hand, continue to demand action against Krishnan, citing a toxic work environment and alleged misconduct.
