Sparkasse Freiburg Supports 'From Apple to Juice' School Project with €2,500 Donation

The Sparkasse Freiburg-Northern Breisgau has generously donated €2,500 to support the 'From Apple to Juice' educational project at the school farm Hochburg. The project, which involved over 250 pupils from ten classes, focused on apple harvesting, juice processing, and learning about biodiversity and economic connections.

The project took place over September and October, with the 3rd and 4th grade classes from the primary school in Hochburg participating in the 'From Apple to Juice' educational magazine on the schoolyard. The donation was presented by Nicolas Lang and Katrin Morat from the Sparkasse to Stefanie Waldmueller from the school farm and Stefanie Sanchez-Deckert from the seed garden. The project aimed to provide a hands-on learning experience for the pupils, teaching them about the process of turning apples into juice and the importance of biodiversity in our ecosystem.

The Sparkasse's donation will help continue and expand the 'From Apple to Juice' project, providing more pupils with a unique and engaging learning experience. The project not only teaches pupils about the process of juice production but also about the importance of biodiversity and the economic connections within our communities.
