Tech Orda 2025: A Major Initiative to Train IT Specialists in Kazakhstan
The Tech Orda 2025 educational program, a significant government initiative, aims to train around 20,000 new IT professionals by 2029. This program, launched by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MCRIAI), offers grant-based education in private tech schools.
The program focuses on a broad range of digital professions, including artificial intelligence (AI) engineering, data science and analysis, programming, big data, cybersecurity, product management, and other digital career paths. It collaborates with 72 private IT schools and academies across Kazakhstan, providing a diverse array of courses.
Current courses offered under the Tech Orda program include Data Science with AI, Machine Learning, Agile Product Management, C#/.NET development, Flutter development, Product Design, and creating AI assistants. The training courses typically last about 6 months or longer and include a variety of specialized tracks offered by different private educational partners.
Interested individuals can apply for the Tech Orda 2025 program online through platforms such as Astana Hub, which hosts the program and provides detailed course information, quotas, and tuition costs (covered by grants for successful applicants). Applications for specific courses can be submitted until early September 2025. Quotas per course vary, with examples such as 4 seats for “Data Science with AI” and 36 seats for “Agile Product Management”.

The Tech Orda program was piloted in 2021 on the basis of Astana Hub, and it is a key initiative aimed at transforming Kazakhstan’s digital economy and labor market. The Head of State of Kazakhstan has emphasized the importance of preparing 100,000 IT specialists. In 2025, 80 IT schools were accredited to support this goal.
