New York Film Academy Opens First Asian Campus in Kazakhstan
The New York Film Academy (NYFA) has expanded its global reach with the opening of its first Asian campus in Kazakhstan. The campus, located in the Creative Industries Park at Energo University's Dala.edge Park in Kaskelen, was officially inaugurated on March 1, 2025, with the participation of NYFA President Michael Young.
The NYFA Kazakhstan campus is a unique addition to the academy, offering one-year filmmaking certificate programs in 3D Animation and VFX, and Game Design. The campus is the only NYFA branch in Asia and boasts state-of-the-art facilities that meet international standards.
The special agreement with Dala.edge Park includes residence in the creative industries ecosystem, access to professional studios, equipment, mentorship programs, and professional networks. Scholarship recipients will also benefit from priority funding for creative projects and use of advanced creative infrastructure.
The "Create and Win: NYFA Scholarship Contest 2025" is now open for eligible applicants. To be considered, applicants must be Kazakhstani nationals who submit a creative work and apply through the official NYFA Kazakhstan site by August 1, 2025.
The winners of the scholarship contest will receive full or partial scholarships covering tuition for the one-year filmmaking certificate programs. In addition to the academic benefits, scholarship recipients will also sign a special agreement with Dala.edge Park, granting them residence in the creative industries ecosystem, priority funding for creative projects, and access to park infrastructure.
