Trump's impact on Americans to be explored in new podcas to be hosted by Alex Wagner, in partnership with Crooked Media
Alex Wagner, a renowned journalist and political analyst, is set to launch a new podcast with Crooked Media, the politically progressive media company. Known for her insightful analysis and engaging interview style, Wagner's untitled show promises a fresh take on politics in America.
The podcast will be a weekly interview series, where Wagner speaks with everyday people across the country about the impact of the Trump administration and its policies on their lives. Each episode is expected to be roughly 45-60 minutes in length and will feature episodes in video format.
Wagner is not new to Crooked Media. In 2020, she collaborated with the company, launching the "Six Feet Apart" podcast about the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, she is joining Crooked Media's flagship show, "Pod Save America," as the first-ever contributor. Initially, she will be hosting one Sunday episode of "Pod Save America" per month.
In addition, Wagner will join "YouTube Rapid Responses" with Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, and Tommy Vietor to discuss breaking news and will fill in as a host on the show as needed.
Before her work with Crooked Media, Wagner served as a cultural correspondent for the Center for American Progress, a Washington, D.C.-based think tank. She also worked as a reporter at Huffington Post, where she covered innovation in the U.S. economy, and was the White House correspondent for Politics Daily.
Wagner's career in journalism began before her work at Fader Magazine, where she served as editor in chief, covering music and culture. From 2007-09, she served as executive director of Not on Our Watch, an advocacy and grant-making nonprofit founded by George Clooney, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, and Don Cheadle.
In February 2025, Wagner's show, "Alex Wagner Tonight," was cut from MSNBC's schedule, but she remained a contributor to MSNBC as a senior political analyst. After a brief hiatus, Wagner returned to MSNBC in 2022, hosting a daytime show, "Now With Alex Wagner," between 2011-15.
The podcast, set to premiere on October 23, will be available across all major podcast platforms. Wagner is also set to speak at Crooked Con, a conference held by Crooked Media in Washington, D.C. on Nov. 6-7.
The co-host role on "Pod Save America" by Crooked Media is shared by Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, Dan Pfeiffer, and Tommy Vietor. New episodes appear twice a week, typically every Tuesday and Friday, implying multiple co-host appearances per month.
With Wagner's addition to the team, Crooked Media's lineup of political analysis and commentary is set to expand, offering a diverse range of perspectives and insights into the world of American politics.
