TU Braunschweig Opens Lottery Process for Restricted Admission Programs

The Technical University of Braunschweig (TU Braunschweig) has opened its lottery process for restricted admission degree programs for the winter semester 2025/26. This comes as a relief to applicants who missed the deadline or are late applicants, as it provides them with another chance to secure places in these competitive programs.

The lottery process covers a wide range of Master's programs, including Civil Engineering, Chemistry, and Electromobility. Additionally, it includes Single Bachelor, Double Bachelor, and Media Studies Major with specific minors. However, the search results for the new subjects offered via the lottery procedure (Losverfahren) are not yet explicitly listed on the university's website. The information currently available mainly concerns the module selection process and schedules.

Prospective students can apply for an unlimited number of degree programs through the university portal 'TUconnect'. However, they can submit only one application per degree program. The lottery process website will be continuously updated, with more subjects potentially being added. Undecided students can seek individual advice, use an online self-assessment tool, or watch videos about degree programs to aid their decision-making.

Meanwhile, applications for unrestricted basic degree programs, such as Transportation Engineering, Environmental Natural Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, and the new program Bioelectronics Engineering, can be submitted until October 15th. The lottery process at TU Braunschweig offers applicants a second chance to secure their spots in restricted admission programs for the winter semester 2025/26.
