Vietnamese books presented by our website users to an Indian library
Stepping into the heart of India, our Vietnam Ambassador, Nguyễn Thanh Hải, graced the hallowed halls of the Central Secretariat Library on the 24th of April, 2025. The occasion? A celebration of the 50-year milestone since Vietnam's Liberation and Reunification (April 30, 1975 - 2025).
During this visit, Hải presented a trove of new books aimed at enriching the Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh Corner, a literary haven nestled within the library. Hải emphasized the significance of a book, Ngàn Năm Văn Hiến Quốc Gia Việt Nam - a comprehensive chronicle of Vietnam's national civilization - hoping it would illuminate the intricacies of Vietnam's heritage for Indian readers.
Addressing the gathering, Y. Avanindranath Rao, a key figure in the library's leadership, extended a warm welcome to Hải and his delegation. Rao commended Hải's generous donation of books, asserting that this cultural bridge would fuel the India-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Harkening back to its history, Y. Rao explained the library's inception and the establishment of the Vietnam Corner, describing it as a priceless resource for Indian officials and the public to delve deeper into Vietnam's culture, history, and the Vietnam-India bond.
