Yakutian Leader Honors Winners from Nationwide Olympiad Competition

Let's chat about the triumphant Yakutian students who nailed the All-Russian School Olympiad! On June 5th, our local hero, Aisen Nikolaev, the Head of Yakutia, honored these academic rockstars. Among Yakutian students, three took the crown, while seven shone brilliantly in various subject olympiads.
The All-Russian School Olympiad, a fierce competition, tested their mettle in subjects like English, Chinese, Social Studies, Physical Culture, and French. The Yakutian squad took home some impressive victories! Alex Nikolaev, our astute Head, shared his excitement, praising the students and stating, "This is a historical achievement for our republic in the past 15 years! Out of 72 Russian regions, Yakutia climbed up to 24th rank. We swept three victories in Physical Culture. Maxim Yevseyev, a 10th grader, bagged two diplomas in French and English."
Our worthy winners were Irina Fedorov (a star 11th grader from School No. 17), bubbly Lyubov Gavrilenko (a 9th grader from the Information Technology Lyceum No. 24 in Neryungri), and Yulia Ganyak (a 10th grader from School No. 1 in Neryungri). They brimmed with pride, sharing, "The competition was tough, and fear reared its head a couple of times, but we managed to deliver a result that makes Yakutia – and our families – incredibly proud."
Making history, a Yakutian 10th grader slayed the All-Russian Olympiad in Chinese, marking the first time a Yakutian student secured a prize in this prestigious competition! Lyu Czelun from the Arctic School mesmerized the judges with her impeccable Chinese skills, standing tall among over 250 participants across the nation.
The All-Russian Olympiad spans 24 subjects and grips approximately 7 million schoolchildren annually. This rigorous competition demands top-tier performance at school, municipal, regional, and final stages.
A little fun fact: Diplomas for winners and runners-up, valid for four whopping years, grant school graduates direct entry to elite Russian universities without the need for entrance exams in their chosen subjects!
