Youth Art School 'Kunsthaus Alte Muhle' Aids Arnsberg & Meschede
The 'youth art school kunsthaus alte muhle e.V.' from Schmallenberg is lending a helping hand to Arnsberg and Meschede. The organisation is supporting the two cities in establishing an intercommunal youth art school. Beate Herrmann, the leader of the organisation, will oversee the project and collaborate with local artists and facilities over the next few months.
The youth art school project is currently in the planning phase, with no specific opening date announced. Interested parties can invite the art mobile, KUMO, to their location to help develop a 30-hour cultural participatory offer for children and young people. The project aims to expand local cultural education by offering a pedagogical concept that includes plastic design, visual arts, dance, theater, and literature. Artists from Arnsberg, Meschede, and Sundern will be involved in the program, providing decentralized cultural youth work through networking.
The project is funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia and supported by the Förderkreis Kunst und Kultur Kloster Wedinghausen e. V. The cities of Arnsberg and Meschede will cover approximately one third of the costs. Interested artists can contact 'youth art school kunsthaus alte muhle e.V.' by phone or email to participate.
The 'youth art school kunsthaus alte muhle e.V.' is set to kickstart the project with the art mobile on site this year. The intercommunal youth art school aims to provide a diverse range of artistic opportunities for children and young people, fostering creativity and cultural engagement in the region.
