🗓️ April 5 marked the start of the 'Promoting Engagement and Unity of Akhmeta Youth for Community Resilience' initiative, funded by the 'EU4Youth: Youth Engagement and Empowerment' project. This kick-off event saw the launch of the Illuminator Youth Center's grant program.

🚀 The inaugural capacity-building workshop brought together a vibrant mix of young Akhmetans from various backgrounds, all hailing from the Akhmeta Municipality. The workshop covered essential civic topics, such as human rights, the significance of active citizenship, and participation avenues for both the youth and adults.

🤝 Through innovative, interactive methods (role-plays and a hands-on approach), the trainer encouraged teamwork and active involvement among the participants.

🎉 The goal of this initiative is twofold: first, to equip young Akhmetans with civic know-how, and second, to broaden their access to educational and social resources. Moreover, the initiative seeks to foster cultural harmony and mutual cooperation between the valley's minority and majority communities within the Pankisi Valley.

🌍 The Illuminator Youth Center is lucky to be a recipient of the EU4Youth grant program under the 'Youth Engagement and Empowerment' initiative, jointly funded by the European Union and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
