In the heart of Russia's Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), one of the country's harshest regions for living, YAKTEC has made significant strides in supporting new employees acclimate to their unique and challenging environment. The innovative employee adaptation program, "Welcome to Yakutia/Dobro pozhalovat' v Yakutii!", has been designed to ease cultural and environmental adjustments for employees, addressing factors such as extreme cold and local customs.

The program, which includes corporate engagement and immersion in Yakutia's traditions, has received praise from various quarters. The founders of the "We Live Here" nomination lauded its comprehensiveness and completeness. YAKTEC's project in the "We Live Here" track is a shining example of a business being both economically successful and socially responsible.

The impact of the program on employee retention and adaptation is evident. An impressive 83% of new employees stay with the company for over a year, and 93% successfully complete the trial period. The program appears to improve employee satisfaction and reduce turnover by providing support during the critical initial period of relocation and adjustment to life in a remote and harsh setting such as Yakutia.

The HR Brand Award, one of Russia's most authoritative awards for personnel management, recognised YAKTEC's innovative new employee adaptation program. The victory in the "We Live Here" track and the company's entry into the top 10 finalists in the "Regions" category is a well-deserved recognition of YAKTEC's commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive work environment.

The 19th awards ceremony took place on the red carpet at the "Oktyabr" cinema on New Arbat, with the jury praising the program's innovative approach to employee adaptation. Ivanna Vinnyk*, a consultant from hh.ru, noted that YAKTEC's project fully realises the idea of the HR track "We live here": support, cultural development, and a careful attitude towards people and improvement of the HR brand of the company.

Familiarisation with the region's rich culture has become not only an adaptation tool but also an essential part of the corporate identity at YAKTEC. The quality of information materials, team culture, and process transparency at YAKTEC receive high ratings from both local candidates and specialists from other regions.

The company's "Adaptation Formula" program, created to address challenges in attracting and retaining personnel, is shaping a new quality of the business environment in the regions. Yakutia Energy Company received an award in the "We Live Here" track at the All-Russian HR Brand Awards 2024, further highlighting YAKTEC's commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive work environment in one of Russia's most challenging regions.
